Logistics Administrator (Bryanston) - Gauteng

Logistics Administrator Leading Mining Company based in Johannesburg (Bryanston) seeking skills & experience of Logistics Administrator to monitor, control & manage all mine, rail, and port related activities including terminal staff and agents on behalf of the mine. Support Logistics Department - liaising with the bank, monitoring ships, populating various documents and processing invoices

Minimum requirements:

Grade 12
Relevant tertiary logistics/shipping qualification (Advantageous)
3 Years’ work experience in shipping and stock control in Port/Terminal
environment
Minimum 3 years’ work experience with documentary letter of credits
Computer literate - proficiency in MS Office suite
Sound shipping knowledge, SLC, and bulk shipping
Commercial and cross-functional awareness
Shipping line and Transport partner policies and procedures
Valid driver’s license

Job responsibilities:

Monitoring, controlling and managing, on behalf of mine and its agents (if applicable), all SLC and Bulk export related activities.
Liaising and engaging with all relevant agents, TFR and Transport partner at the port related deviations to all relevant and involved Mine parties.
Monitoring, controlling, managing and reporting on (where needed) all port related deviations to all stakeholders.
Monitoring and managing the booking of SLCs with shipping lines.
Interpret Charter Parties and monitor vessel performance against contractual obligations.
Calculate lay-time statements.
Ensuring freight is paid as per contractual stipulations.
Ensuring relevant export documentation is sent to agents, terminals, and Transport partner Freight Rail, as applicable.
Controlling and executing cargo in coordination with mine and other relevant parties.
Planning, organizing and monitoring stock and route with relevant grades in coordination with mine.
Administering the road hauling, railing and shipping program between the mine and other relevant parties.
Managing and reporting shipping line and Transport partner contract KPIs.
Managing and reporting on weekly and monthly stock returns to mine and other relevant parties.
Interpret Letters of Credit; ensuring and forwarding documentation between all parties.
Participating in controlling and managing vessel scheduling between all parties.
Performing ad hoc and any other reasonable duties as and when requested from time-to-time.
Process invoices
Monitor vessels en route to the discharge port and process LOIs when required.
Reconcile statements
Issue cargo release instructions to ship owners
Compile and distribute pre-arrival documentation for all shipments.
Send weekly updates to the buyers.
Nominate vessels to Transport partner and mine’s Buyers.
